Glenbeag Mountain Lodges Terms and Conditions of Hire
Once a booking has been confirmed, a contract is entered into between the guest and Glenbeag Mountain Lodges (GML). Please read the following carefully.
Booking & Payment – When you submit a booking online via our online reservation system you will receive an automatically generated booking summary acknowledgement by email. This does not form a contract between us. A contract shall only arise after receipt of payment when your booking is subsequently confirmed by email or a letter of confirmation sent by post. A non-refundable deposit of 1/3 of the full rent is due on booking, with the balance payable one month before the start of the holiday. Payment can be by Credit / Debit card or cheque, made payable to “Glenbeag Mountain Lodges”. Full payment is required for a booking taken less than a month before the start of the holiday. GML reserves the right to re-let the accommodation should the balance payment not be received by the due date.
Cancellation and Insurance – Holiday cancellation insurance is not included in the cost of the rental. For any cancellation GML must be informed immediately and the property will be re-advertised. Unless a re-let is obtained, the customer is responsible for the full cost of the let. If the accommodation is re-let at the full rate, a 66% refund will be made, if at a lesser rate a smaller % refund will be made. In all cases the deposit is not refundable. For winter lets, there is no refund in the event of their being no snow for snowsports. To safeguard against cancellation and unforeseen eventualities, holiday cancellation insurance is strongly recommended, and on request we will forward an application form. The change of holiday dates is treated as a cancellation and will be made at a cost of the booking deposit.
Arrival and Departure – The period of let shall be from 4pm on the day of arrival to 10am on the day of departure.
Electricity and Heating – Heating is by electric radiators. Water heating is by a hot water immersion heater. The heating and the hot water immerser will be turned on prior to the guests arrival and the meter will be read at this time. Power to the hot tubs remains on at all times. Electricity consumed will be charged at the current rate (per unit consumed) and guests are asked to provide a final meter reading at the end of the stay.
Linen and Towels – All linen to include, duvet covers, sheets, pillow cases are provided. For weekly lets we provide one bath sheet and one bath towel per person. For short breaks one bath sheet per person and one hand towel only. For those using the hot tub we recommend bringing a bath robe.

The hirer shall at all times keep the hired premises in a clean and tidy condition and shall maintain the property and all fitments, furniture and equipment in the like state of repair and condition as at the time of commencement of the hire. GML reserves the right to inspect the property at any time during the let. Causing a nuisance or disturbance to neighbours or unreasonable behaviour may result in GML asking guests to leave.

Parties occupying more than one cabin, groups of persons under 25 years of age and single sex parties may be required to provide a good housekeeping deposit (see Information ).

Dogs should be kept under control and on a leash where sheep or cattle are grazing. GML do not accept liability for the safety of pets. Owners are asked to ensure that dogs do not foul the cut grass areas and that all traces of their presence is removed before departure.
Water – Our private water supply is from a mountain stream and passes through a “Point of Entry” filtration and Ultra Violet cleaning system. The water is tested by Perth & Kinross Environmental Health in line with EEC (European) regulations. Although the quality of water is usually acceptable for drinking, under certain circumstances the quality may be lower than you would expect from a public supply. Notwithstanding that the supply has been tested, you may prefer to boil water for drinking, or use bottled water. For babies, water should always be boiled. Bottled water is available on request.
Departure – The customer is responsible for the cabin and its equipment during the period of the let. On vacating, the customer is expected to leave the cabin in a clean and tidy condition and a check list is provided in each cabin. This includes stripping beds, washing up, placing refuse in black bags and placing them in wheelie bins at the driveway entrance, vacuuming floors and cleaning the grill pan, baths, basins and wc`s. A charge of £50 for extra cleaning will be made if accommodation is not left in a satisfactory condition and GML reserves the right to process a damage and excess cleaning charge to the guests credit card following their departure.
Number in party – The number of occupants during the hire period should not exceed the number indicated at the time of booking unless prior arrangements have been made with the proprietor.

If this is not possible a refund will be made to you of all the monies paid by you to GML for the accommodation booked. No further claim against GML will be considered.
The brochure and website are as accurate as possible but cannot be warranted, nor do the descriptions form any contract. GML reserves the right to alter or improve any of the subjects without notice.
